Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is a proactive approach to establishing the behavioral supports and social culture needed for all students in a school to achieve social, emotional and academic success. Attention is focused on creating and sustaining school-wide, classroom, and individual systems of support that improve positive behavior by making targeted misbehavior less effective, efficient, and relevant, and desired behavior more functional. Behaviors are defined as minor (staff follow up) and major (administration follow up) and the motivation is identified as attention seeking or avoidance. Many incentives for positive behavior will be implemented throughout the year to promote positive behavior. We look forward to watching our Tigers Lead With a ROAR.
